When in rome
Sat 3 Jun 2006It seems to me that all Geno’s Steaks is trying to do is enforce the old saying ‘when in Rome do as the Romans do’, or speak as they do in this case. In other words, I wouldn’t expect to get anywhere in a restaurant in France if I couldn’t speak au francies (I can’t). I’d expect the French waiter to be polite about serving me something upon which their cook has just micturated.
A tip to the boycotting folks: If you’re in Los Angeles, visit Markie D’s Taste of Philly. They have great cheesesteaks and even have Tastycakes on the west coast. And they employ Mexicans to boot, so you can order in English or Spanish.
